Before the storm, isle of Harris

Just five mnutes after I had taken this image, the dramaitc and magical light disappeared and it poured with rain. Half and hour later the sun shone and there was not a cloud in sight. Typical weather on this beautiful island.

The mountains that separate Harris & Lewis attract storms and weather fronts that have crossed the Atlantic with nothing to disturb their patterns. The Dunes at the end of the road here at Luskentyre Bay are tremendous especially when a storm brews behind them.

Well done you staying out because the Western Isles look at their best in wild conditions just like this.

Ooooo....simple, but powerful shot !!!.......love the contrast between the sunlit F/G, & the foreboding drama in that sky !!!!
