This is a nice portrait - it says 'isolation' to me. And a click for that.

But, I'm a big Steven King fan - not sure if you are. My first thought seeing this picture was the book Fire Starter.

Good work, though and congrats on the EC and RC

Hi K, much as I think this is yet another super shot I would have liked to see you sitting there, feel that it would have a different sort of impact emotionally speaking, hope you know what I mean. As it is it she looks rather sad and her youth does not give this the impact and adult such as yourself would have given it.
Oh I'll shut up now, work and family problems abound this week been away to long and need to talk.

Still classy as always, just like yourself.

Have a great weekend.

Nice picture well thought out, the big space does make the little girl look vulnerable and helpless. It arouses the protective instinct. Excellent.

Wow, I'm sure I looked at this photo a month or so ago and didn't like it enough to click. But it seems to have improved with age! :-P

How do you find the Pentax? My film camera is a Pentax K1000 which I've dragged all over, so I have a couple of K-mount lenses I'd love to keep using. Doug
10 Aug 2005 12:47AM
Thanks Doug, its one of my favourites Smile.

I find the Pentax OK, but then I've not experienced another make yet. I do get frustrated with the colours, reds expecially seem to be too contrasty and you really need to think about exposure because of it. I'd like to compare it to a Canon, side by side just to see what difference, if any there is. But it is easy to use and its fabulous for portraits, not so keen on using it for outside work but that might be because I'm still not sure what to do with landscapes LOL. Thanks for stopping by. K.
