Interview

Hi

Thought I would put another blog out there into the ether, as it were.

I have been working in my job for almost 8 years now, and I felt it was time to move on, so have been looking around.

I had an interview today, for a firm, doing something similar to what Im doing now, but with a few variations.

I think, having done some research into the company, getting myself ready and geared up for the interview over the last week really helped.

I sorted out my shirt and suit, polished my shoes, all on Monday. Browsed their website. Tuesday, browsed their website. Wednesday, checked shirt, suit and shoes, had haircut (dont say anything !!!! ), browsed their website. Today, had the interview, and went smoothly.

It turned out to be quite informal, as their website was, so that was good to know. Nothing too grilling, as I have a comprehensive CV. I was able to answer their questions, with honesty and integrity, and I feel that went down well.

As to when I find out, probably over the next week or so, they have a few interviews to carry out. I'll keep you posted.

So, im sitting here, had the interview, got some Katherine Jenkins on the Ipod dock, listening to the kids play outside. The sun us shining, and Im happy.

What a great day.... Smile

But having had the interview would you still want the job or would you be better off staying where you are ?

Also, hHope your existing employer does not know about this blog, unless they are already aware that you may be moving on !

Down my way there are practically no jobs at all, one agency has no current vacancies on their books, so even the consultants may become redundant soon.

good question, so far, what I have heard I liked. If they made a decent offer, then yes i would take it.

My team leader knows where I was today, he authorised the time off for the interview. He's a good guy, so I have always been honest with him.

I openly admit, Im lucky to have a job, I have been looking for the last year, and had 2 other interviews. They never came to anything. Im not in a mad "rush" to get away, so Im happy to take my time, look for things that interest me, and challenge me, and off I may go. lol
