Leaving it all behind....

Well, after my last blog, about my interview, I just realised I have'nt updated you, ha ha. Sorry about that.

Ok, the good news is, I got the job. They made me a good offer, I'm more than happy to accept.

So, the next big thing was giving in my notice to RBS, my employer, and telling them I'm leaving. Ok, that wasn't so hard, after all, what can they do about it, lol.

That brings us to today, my final day at RBS. After almost 7 years with the company, seeing it go from strength to strength, and then also topple and fall. I'll reserve my views about that, but suffice to say, I'm now finished. It was really hard to say goodbye to so many good people, good friends. Folk I likely wont ever see again. Perhaps a few, if there's a night out and I get an invite, but probably, never again. I'll keep in touch with the likes of Facebook and e-mail, so that's good. It was hard though, leaving behind all that familiarity. People, faces, the job, and the never ending beep in my ear to tell me there is another call coming through. (I wont miss that too much ha ha).

As from 5pm today, I am technically unemployed, but happily, that ends on Monday morning, 9.30am. I'll stroll into the new office, start my 2 weeks training, and then they will let me loose. I'm kind of scared and nervous about that too, but in a good way.

That's about all I can think of for the moment, thanks for listening.

Wish me luck Smile

Anthony
