The black shadow of pipe is disturbing. For bird photo, a catch light is necessary ,that gives life to a photo.Your PF suggests a beginer .If you are staying at Kolkata, please talk to your photographer friends who participates Exhibitions/competitions. You have a wonderful gadget (E-410),& 2 lens kit.It can give you fantastic results.Study the different PFs.Most of them are tutorials even for die hard professionals.Because this art form is vast & with the advent of digital possibilities are infinite.
Keep it up, & thanks for ur comments.

Nice image well done. Thanks for your comment on my moth. My camera has a macro lens but I just move as close as it will let me and snap away. Kind Regards Sue

A good shot, the pipe shadow is a little distracting though.

Good shot Apabritabasu, well spotted. I think it's a shame that the shadow of the bird was at the wrong angle to be in the photo as well. It must have been hard to get though as they tend to fly away just before you press the button! Cheers, Dave.

Some very useful comments for you here to take on board, captured well but lighting for birds is so important to show feather detail, it's also a waiting game to get him in the right pose/position to capture the catchlight in the eye as has already been mentioned, keep at it and keep them coming,
