    Hi Paul,
    Thank you for your opinion..
Yes this shot was taken with canon 400 mm L USM with 1.4X tele converter and certainly hand held .
A genuine prob with this combination is meter reading .... one point under -expo showing in viewfinder giving perfect exposure ,...however this area needs correction. At any point this shutter speed generally gives blur image ,but burst shots with 7D perhaps compensate ..this area..which I believe ...this is simply amazing work by the Canon Engineers which ultimately beneficiary to the photographers...
    However ,thank you once again..

    Thanx Ken,
you are absolutely right that hand held at 1/500 at ISO 500 at f8 with that kind of light condition plus 1.4x tele is nearly impossible in hand held . I just tried .the performance of the lens cannon 400 L USM amazed me ...I agree the there is huge lack of sharpness specially in the eye and head portion of the bird ...Perfect clarity with the 1.4X can be obtained in the sufficient light condition is f10...with my 7D MII...but meter reading little bit of focusing..it cant read accurately...
However , thanx for your opinion.
    Hi Dudler,Hope you are fine...
You are right..high shutter speed is required ....but there is ever chance of under expo user..increase ISO is necessary ..but I prefer to keep the ISO always with is 600...though 7D has an option to increase in a great extent..tripod (any quality) restricts movement which I understand is a major set back of bird photography....However need to search for perfect shot...
Thanks for your valuable opinion...take my regards
    Hi Moria,
you are correct that only 1/2000 could be the perfect for that kind of shot...but that will be required increase ISO at lest 2500 or more to compensate ..which I do not prefer ...burst shutter is helpful..
    However ...need much exploration..
Thanks for your valuable opinion ...
    Regards
    Arghya.

  • Beauty of the Hill forest...

    Hi,
    tonyguitar, banehawi, dudler and paulbroad,
Thank you very much for wonderful suggestions ...specially Mr, Dudler,
First of all, the shot was taken hand held and in program mode which i also believe should be avoided, But the light condition in the hilly region is un-predictable , and it was not favorable. I was travelling on car and got very little time to focus . I did not get any time to set the camera..
However, it is true ISO 4000 for Canon 7D MII not a big issue I believe ..
However...I understand in the slandered light, f7-f8 gives quite sharp image having a reasonable sutter speed with 7-10 pic per sec.
Once again, thank you very much all of you for viewing and analyzing my shot "beauty of the hill forest"

  • Lonely House

Thank you . I will remember it , actually I thought large portion of sky may be given a feeling of widest sense of nature in respect of the abandoned house.
