Greetings from Jamaica.... it's been ages since I got around to uploading anything at all so I am trying to make more of an effort!

This is a shot from a day trip I took in September into the parish of St Mary, Jamaica. I met this character who's nickname is 'Quatty" which seems to be a reference to his small size from childhood (a quart rather than a pint?). He looks after a small piece of land with some basic holiday cottages - a very simple existence - he rides his motorbike to and from work and spends much of his day smoking ganja whilst keeping the grounds tidy. A very laid back, friendly and pleasant man.

Combined with your narative, this makes the beginnings of a good documentary article. A crop down from the top places more emphasis on the intensity of the eyes.
great portrait

wonderful detailed portrait. Have you got one with a 50 or 35mm as well, I'd like to see an environmental portrait of him as well.

Thanks for the votes/comments.

Melanie M - I know what you mean about a crop, I did play around with cropping and in the end the square format worked for me.

Henri - unfortunately no other wider shots, he was sat on a bench thats his machete behind him on the left.
