red rock canyon vista

By artcubis
Red Rock Canyon is a spectacular State Park just 20 miles west of Las Vegas Nevada. If you like the outdoors, wide open spaces, breathtaking views and vistas, hiking, biking, repelling, horseriding or want to meet people who practice atlatl, this is the place to visit. You may be lucky to see big horn sheep, wild burro among the joshua trees, great variety of birds, reptiles, and beautiful rock formations.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments. In the desert, people are encouraged to use the paths due to the very fragile echo system. Many plants are habitat for desert dwellers and take a long time to grow due to lack of water - only rains 6 inches per year but when it does, the desert blossoms and it brings spectacular beauty for a brief moment in time.
