Standing for 3 hours on a dual carriageway bridge above the River Avon on Bristol's ring road system in freezing temperatures may not seem appealing, but for me, the reward of three images far outweighs the three hours waiting.
Having made a day of it, visiting the former docks area of Bristol and a fine meal and pint in the Cottage Inn, I was somewhat surprised that people were already gathering for the celebration some three hours early. So as the old advert used to say 'if you can beat them - join them'
