Never give up

I have many times been the last person to leave after a sunset. So often I have seen photographers depart as soon as the sun has set, only for them to miss an outstanding light show care of Mother Nature.

And yet on this evening, I watched as the sun descended and about 30 minutes before the sunset, all appeared lost as the sun disappeared in to a bank of cloud on the horizon. So I packed away and started my long walk back towards the car. Then it happened. a break in the cloud and rosy red light escaped. As I walked along the beach, it got brighter and pinkerÖ.

Nearly at the end of the beach and a cluster of rocks were being washed by the outgoing tide. Quickly, the camera was liberated and sat on a tripod and a totally different composition to the original plan was created. A marvellous light show of vivid pinks against the blue ensued.

The moral of the story is NEVER GIVE UP
