A walk in the Woods

By AshTree
Many thanks for all your comments and clicks on my last upload. I'm moving on from my Welsh holiday pics today!
We took our son's dog for a walk in one of our favourite places yesterday - Plymbridge Woods. Owned by the National Trust, the main trail follows the route of an old Great Western Railway track running from the woods, near Plymouth, up to Dartmoor, taking in rivers, viaducts and some beautiful scenery on the way.
The trail became the country's first ever Sustrans cycle track around 40 years ago, and it's very well used by families either cycling or walking with dogs.
V1 and V2 are of the same bridge taken from opposite sides.
Hope you enjoy this set of images - please view large if you can.

I'm drawn to v4 with the super diamond framing, but v1 and 2 are also very well composed shots

Very gentle, leisurely, a stroll in good company.
I love the light and the green reflections in V4. My eye wants to rotate the image a couple of degrees clockwise but I suspect that's the effect of photographing across the river at an angle.

Thanks Caroline, Sue, Rob, Helen and Moira.

Moira - I know exactly what you mean about V4 and you're probably right, because I suffer terribly from 'right hand down' syndrome, and consequently the rotate function in PS usually defaults to about 2 deg clockwise!

that looks so my kind of place to be the greenery and the cool water blending together to make the peace and tranquility of this woodland park I can almost hear the water and the birdsong

A lovely set of woodland images.

I canít really decide which I like the best but if I was pushed Iíd go for V4. I think the rich colours and the reflections do it for me.

PS. Thank you so much for your kind comments about my PF. I have sight of your PF now, which contains a lot of variation and is a pleasure to wander through.
