Meadow Brown

This is a Meadow Brown butterfly feeding in a lilac bush.

The pic was taken in Dunskey Gardens which is near Portpatrick on the South West coast of Scotland.

Another good tea-room and well worth a visit!

One of my favourite butterfly shots from your fine collection!! I especially like the poise and fragility, brought through in the composition and the way the lilac is echoed in the background is a really nice touch. Great DoF too! Look forward too next season sbug hunt!!

Ps, kept the tags too a minimum. Hehehehehe!

You did well with this one, especially as your good friend Gomez was tickling your ear with grass to distract you and others (well, me) were complaining that if you didn't stop chasing the damn bug the toastie outlet would be closed!!!
