This is a Common Lizard.

Taken in Glen Trool forest on a magical stretch of the path which had lizards, adders, dragonflies, frogs, toads and butterflies aplenty.

Probably no more than 1/4 of a mile long, it must have taken us an hour to walk along it.

I was going to ask how you see things like this - but.............
A lizard 1/4 mile long?
That doesn't sound very common to me.
