Lmn & Lm

By Atlas
Very similar to yesterdays but without the ice. I think it feels much fresher somehow.

If you have any interest in this photo please E-mail me: robatlas@msn.com

This was set-up in a 16 x 8 inch glass tank, I used two tall straight clear classes to hold the pieces of lemon & lime in place. The bubbles came from two pumps with air stones fitted.
The lighting was a large softbox behind the tank, approx 30cm from the lemon, lime and bubbles. Going too close with the softbox will make the bubbles look too flat. Also I used two 7x5 inch reflectors made from a car heat shield thingy held in placed at 30 degree angles at the very front of the tank, either side of the camera

Mike, the classes are simply tall and cylindrically shaped. They are pressing the lemon and lime up to the the front of the tank glass.

Thank you all very very much indeed for going to the trouble to click and comment Smile

13 Feb 2007 5:35PM
Thanks for the comments Rob and Martin Smile

Martin, sorry you didn't have much luck with it.

There are a few other variables to think about, like:
Lens

Camera model

Focal length

White balance

Light output strenght

Water quality

Thickness of the slices of fruit

You will have to experiment quite a bit to get it right. Also the colours probably won't be right so adjustments will need to be made.

It took me a day just to get the bubbles in the place I wanted them. The stupid air lines are a pain!

What lens did you use?
Martin

It's not a DSLR camera Martin, so it's just a built in lens. This is what it says on the side of it: ZOOM NIKKOR ED 8.9-71.2mm 1:2.8-4.2
