Terry sends his apologies for not being able to make it, he has been suffering with a very bad cough and sore throat for the last three days and I had to call out the emergency Doctor to see him this morning as he was having difficulty breathing. He has now got some strong antibiotics and is safely tucked up in bed. He hopes all those that did make it had an enjoyable day.

Tim, bring what ever you feel most comfortable using. Bring the whole lot, the car park is not very far away, you can always go back to the car and swap about
or once I had enough of the cold, I will stay in the tea room and will probably equipment watch, all those lovely lenses and tripods and bags no one want to lug around. I may just have an ebay sale!!

Make an approach a celebrity like Bill Oddie who is interested in wildlife particularly birds. See if he would do some thing for free for your organisation.

I have no ideahow you would contact him or his agent.

    Good Luck!

  • Commented on 'Confirmation..or something like that...'

First find out if it is a confirmation or a baptism.
Some of the different approaches are down to personal preferences of the minister concerned. You may not be allowed to take photographs in the church full stop. You may only be able to take photographs at certain parts of the service. Speak to the minister before hand. You may be surprised!
A commitment to faith is a very important ceremony and it can also be distracting to have some one wandering around, taking photographs. Also is your friends daughter being confirmed on her own, or with others - and is this going to happen as a separate service in Church or as part of a regular service. If it is with others there will be other people wanting to take photographs as well as your self.

Visit the church before hand see how much natural light there is, where the best vantage points are.

Find out what type of photographs your friend wants before hand .

    Hope this helps, Good luck!,

Sorry! I am sure your get some tech advice from some one else.
