I've been playing with my daughters 50mm prime lens and although it is great for portraits - well - children don't always want their portraits taken.

I decided to up-load 2 versions as I would like everyone's opinion

I have 3 or 4 photos I can upload in the following weeks and then I won't be around much because I BROKE MY CAMERA - YEP! I BROKE MY CAMERA. I can hardly believe it and I keep saying it because I can't believe it - I always always put the strap around my neck but one day.... that's all it took - just that one time and I dropped my camera and it broke.

I hope everyone is having a great day or night

Somewhere between the two would be perfect, Ava. v1 is just a bit overdone. I like the softness of v2 but it needs a touch more contrast. Sorry to hear about your camera, hope it's repairable.

That is so awful about your camera. I would be sick. As for these two versions, I prefer V2. I can see what everything is more so in V2.......Sandy

Thank you for your comments Dave and Daisy - your honesty is very much appreciated as it helps me to learn.
I'm taking this opportunity to focus more on learning photography using research and focusing on my EXIF data on images that I have - my camera was too much of a distraction and I've come to terms with the fact I need time out. Things happen for good reason (sometimes).
I think it's going to be a few months before I start taking photos again by which time I hope to have improved and taken a step forward.
Best wishes
Ava
