The Teacher

By avacreates
The Black Bird was taken to Australia because the English Settlers wanted something to remind them of England - Today, the Australians (English Ancestry) are killing Black Birds because they are not indigenous BUT the Aborigines (The First People of Australia) have adopted the Black Bird as a symbol of a Self-Healer that teaches us to heal with music and song. I don't care where this beautiful bird comes from and I'm with the first people of Australia on this.

The male Black Bird sings to the female while she sits on her eggs.

Animals are so in sync with nature, it is a shame that we do not take a step back and 'feel' before we 'think' and listen to our surroundings and ourselves.

For all who are unwell, listen to the Black Birds teachings.

Sincere gratitude to all those who have ever supported me with your wonderful comments and votes Smile

How on earth can people kill this beautiful song bird for no good reason whatsoever? A lovely capture of this happy male, Ava, let's hope he flies free for the rest of his life. Carol

Intersting story.
Even here in the West (UK that is) the black bird or raven are symbols of healing and protection in the druid or pagan tradition.
So the Aborigines must have seen the same quallytis in them as we do. Shamanism is very closely related and find that the black bird also a teacher or better a guide that is great for journying.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments and votes
Tarek - loved the information you gave - how interesting is it that the native peoples of all lands share such a close connection to the earth and their intuition is so acutely linked - it seems that when people move away from their natural 'being' - they lose their intuition but the worst of it is that they make fun of those who stay linked to their 'being' - humans are such strange creatures - animals don't lose themselves like we do.
