Quote:Shame about the front of the helmet being pin sharp when it should have been her eyes. A very pretty model and a very nice idea. Try selective blurring of the helmet and clone in her eyes from another shot. I'm sure you will have quite a few shots of her. Great idea for a portrait it tell a very good storey.

You are right but this was not a shoot but a snap shot of a friend when we stopped for a look at the view, auto focus catches out the camera every now and then.

  • Selfportrait

I am sure there are plenty of photographers who would take the shot for you, I know I would, it my be easier than trying to do the shot on your own. All of the above is valid. Though why they want a head shot when you are sat in front of them is a mystery to me.

  • Portraiture is often called "just Mug shots" but you have turned it into something much more elegant and engaging. I love your portfolio and will no doubt visit it for ideas. I'm not averse to stealing good ideas.

  • I've been on this site three years now and have only just come across your portfolio. Have I been missing out or what, I have spent over an hour looking at some of the finest images on here. Brilliant.
  • Some of your work has a Tim Burton feel some is unique to you all is stunning. Your audience can almost follow your moods in your work.
  • I have just spent quite some time in your portfolio and your use of available light and sympathy for your subjects is without doubt awe inspiring. Thank you for sharing your work as it gives me a goal to try and achieve.

  • I keep coming back to your portfolio for ideas and inspiration, your work is often simple but the impact is so high its makes one study it rather than just look.

  • I came on to revisit your portfolio and found one shot, please get on your knees and beg your model(s) to reconsider. Seeing the way you have developed was fascinating and obvious in your work. It was a reminder to us that hard work works.

  • I keep looking at your portfolio for inspiration then am unable to get near the quality of your work, you have a very individual style that screams talent from every image.

  • I think the Jazz singer shots are my favorite in a portfolio of excellent work. I think your portraiture is of the highest standard and well worth browsing. (mainly to copy I add)

  • Cracking gallery you have excelled with the three models together as directing more than one at a time can be daunting. Well done on a great selection of images.
  • I always like to look at your work your approach is to produce clean shots, great to see.
