Waiting for the Light, Esk Pike

By awhyu
Well, it was a call to do something crazy, to go and climb 800metres in the dark, after setting off from the Langdales at 23.00hours , and making our way through to Rossett Gill, pass Angle Tarn and upwards towards Esk Pike, a journey in the dark lasting 3.5 hours, we finally reached the summit at 03:30hours , bleary eyed and suufering from the wind chill we waited 2 hours for the sun to show itself. It was worth it even though the sky was cloudless it was a worthwhile experience.
