Shot. Have an award. Did you try darkening the clouds on this at all? Could create a devilish image...

  • ~ Light and Shadow of Life ~

Good shot. Which particular pet / captive animal is this one? Wink

  • Caught in the Frame

I really like this shot. The scene in the background almost makes it look like the kids are floating. The only thing I would improve on this is moving the little girl slightly to the left so the little boy isn't obscuring her face, but it's not a huge distraction as it stands. Nice tones & good use of mono... well done Smile

I don't know why I like this pic, but I just do. It's very relaxing and easy to sympathise with... well done Smile

  • Reader and the tramp

This is indeed a very sad image. No one, I repeat, no one... should wear socks with sandals.

Agree with Lynne. The hanging coat in the background offers nothing, so crop it out. If this was shot in RAW you could bring out so much more contrast, clarity & vividness. I think this would benefit from some strong B&W treatment.

Thanks Smile The young lady on the right had a bright red dress on, was tempted to present it as a colour pic but I'm loving b&w just now..

ND Grad... not used one before, perhaps next on the purchase list. I kinda went to town with the burn tool as the image was quite flat in its orignial state (due to lack of nd grad?). Might ease off on it next time.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

I love this photo. There is such a contrast of temperatures going on...warmth of the sun... cold of the snow... dark clouds... looks even better on your website in panorama. Great stuff.

  • In a spot of bother

Visually this is terrific. Agree with some comments above about the King - I feel the photo ends to easily and doesn't offer much afterthought, once you realise its mate then theres not much more to it...so perhaps the king falling down, or being shattered or something...would add some imagination to it. Just opinion tho...good work!

Im irish, wanted to get as much of the bar in as possible!

Dont think my lens is good enough to make the people at that distance the subject of the photograph, point taken on board tho, thanks.

Thanks for your comments everyone, truly encouraging for a novice photographer.

The photo has been blown up onto canvas and its sitting on my wall, making me smile every time I walk past it.

  • Shoot

To me it looks like she's nailed her shot right through the middle of the cd, in which case a bullet would have gone thru hole and not smashed cd...

...just kidding...fantastic image..im almost blown away...

agree with one comment above tho...i think if she were aiming with her eyes ..maybe slight improvement..
