Great torso there Nick! and naughty ..naughty Barbara, tempting all on EPZ , what a shot though, and what a mind to even think this beauty up, brilliant work love it, (not sure about door hinge top right, distracting)

Hi Lillian, yeah I debated with myself about that and even took it out. But then I felt it needed something on the right to balance the door frame on the left and put it back in!! Smile

Great shot Barbara, very very effective and so beautifully captured. So simple yet thought provoking, IMHO it can be interpreted either way, as you say emerging, or maybe trapped! very well done indeed.

Like it Barbara, for me taking cloning the hinge is good I would also crop to the edge of the door, which will make this work even better.
Good work.

Love the shot - but would go with Richsr ....... remove the door frame too (especially since you have given a white border which contains it)

Excellent concept and well taken. I think would agree about removing the distractions although I do think this may change the 'context' . A

I think the image so powerful I tend to go with the others and get rid of the periferies
Those hands just convey so much !

A very powerful image and you've already recognised the value of removing unwanted details by offering the cloned version. I think you should now take that to its logical conclusion and remove the dark edge on the left. Once you do that, the power of the image increases many-fold. Still gets my vote, but with that one tweak I believe it could be much better still.

Like this a lot. The hinge doesn't bother me, it adds to the mystery and also I think to the balance. In V1 there is a satisfying triangle of dark points of interest.

It reminded me of 'Psycho' too, before I even read others comments! I hope you didn't leave him shut in there for too long before setting him free...
Definitely V2 for me without the distracting hinge.

Hi Barbara, love this one! Agree with everyone about cloning out hinge and door frame. I know you and Nick like murder mystery weekend, but is this taking it a bit too far?!

It's amazing what atmosphere you have created from such a simple image, it would look good on a thriller cover, excellent.
See you in 3 months, off to Spain.

Yes,I am hearing that Psycho music too !!
Good shot, and glad to hear that you had a little play too Barbara.
I have always advocated that you should have a bit of fun with your photography, and that includes in the bathroom too !!

Very effective, especially sans hinge. The suggestion of cloning away the door frame is a good one, too.
