"Back to the Stables"

By RonnieAG
Clydesdale horse "Duke" being led back to the stables by head carter Lorraine after a day in the field. By pure chance I captured this one with the fronds flying up from the hoof.
(Duke also featured in my image Cheek to Cheek (18 images back) as he was reshod).

My thanks to all who commented on Bring Me Sunshine and with special thanks to Graham {digital-boi} and Alan {Sydney2} for their User Awards which are much appreciated.

I like how you show the relationship between the two, how gently but firmly she leads the horse and how the horse steps forward in confidence.

Well timed capture with the fronds Ronnie.

And I just caught up on your rusty bin as I missed it !!

Great image Ronnie, beautifully composed.
I feel as if I know these horses now.
Duke was resting when we were there.
Lorraine handles them so well - her red shirt is good contrast for the green.
As already mentioned, you've captured a special understanding between horse
and mistress.

As most have mentioned, Ronnie it is the empathy between the girl and the horse that is most striking about this well taken image.

A fine image showing the close bond between horse and groom, a real pleasure to view. Did you hear about the woman who married a horse? They broke up as the horse couldn't adapt to living in a house...........he wanted to be in a stable relationship!GrinGrinGrin I'll get me coat!

Learned two words today Fronds and Horses Feathers, not sure which one is correct as both new to me, as people have mentioned a great bond between Horse and Handler, love it Ronnie.

I agree with all the comments about the horse-human relationship, Ronnie, but also think your composition is spot-on, with the lovely addition of the bridge too.
