  • Let the day begin

A special picture and quite aspirational for me.

    Gorgeous.

Composition is top notch, even down to the lens flare IMO.

The reflection off the roof was either inspired or damn good luck, but it makes the shot.

Good, strong composition. I like it a lot.

Since it is in the critique gallery, I do have one observation.

The vignetting looks like it was added in PS (to good effect too). If this is the case, making the 'midpoint' more positive would have made a less obtrusive and more natural effect.

  • Silhouette & Surf ...

Fantastic composition and light. Not many digital cameras would have coped with that either.

  • Lindisfarne From Ross Sands

Good composition. Tight, contrasty and the people add to it. But most of all, it has texture that you could reach out and touch.

    My favourite tonight.

  • Thought

Disagree about the colour - not outstanding for that.
Depth of field is another thing though, very well composed.
There are a scarce few photographs that are so thought provoking as this. Anyone with a daughter will have felt this one down to the pit of their stomach. Possibly pure chance.. but an outstanding image none the less.

Excellent, well captured and well done.
