Definitely stronger in mono. In the colour version I just saw the flowers as pink, here we can see how tired and worn they are and that is relevant.

I actually preferred the colour, but having read Moira's comment above, I've changed my mind! She makes an excellent point. It's a fantastic shot Willie, and I love the glow you've given the stones in the background - a lovely contrast with the harsh textures of the statue. Very haunting.

Hi Willie, both look great I think. When I saw this first I thought it was from the famine memorial in Dublin. Very similar. The same helpless, gaunt look to the face. Paul
