In fact in wasnt just me that started remembering the past from those images.Isnt it wonderful that our pictures can effectively change the direction that we think.
Thankyou Lynne

Also a thankyou to Andrew(ChiliMan) for his wonderful user award.Well chuffed here.

Fine shot of this musician with no b/g distractions pulling the eye away from the subject.
So well illuminated.

A lute by any name would sound as sweet. It has survived as a popular instrument throughout North Africa and the Middle East, I remember hearing it played in Jordan.
I think the Elizabethans reckoned that a lutenist spent 11 hours tuning the instrument for every hour actually spent playing it.

Well said. Never thought of that.

Magically handled light in this, Barbs. Crystal clear with the perfect touch of softness at the same time.

Jon must love this. I certainly do.

Bravo Smile

I never knew Leeds had a Moroccan Christmas fair - I know it had a German Christmas market which I've been to two or three times Smile What a lovely instrument this is, very nicely cradled by Jon....the pic itself ain't half bad either, Barbs! Lovely quality work, and definitely stands out from the rest in my faves today, so it just has to have my UA... Wink

An absolutely gorgeous image and the choice of the soft sepia tones (or should that be soppy sepia tones) is just perfect. Take my UA to add to the collection.

In this case the candid expression as he's playing... tells many possible stories! Grin
