The Dragon Slayer

Happy St George's Day everyone Smile

Here's a remarkable 14th C wall painting in St Gregory's church, Bedale.
St George is slaying a cockerel headed dragon ( a cockatrice?)
It is thought the painting was covered over in whitewash paint during The Reformation.
