The magic of the west

By mlseawell
Once upon a time we made our first visit to Dead Horse State Park. A cold Sunday morning in January and the beauty is my wife and I were alone nearly the entire morning. From on high we could see it all and the moments like this just burn into your soul. The magic of the west.

So many places to go, so little time, thanks for your short cut. The amazing power of nature over many thousands of years, splendid.

Colorado river creates so many vistas of awe... this is one of the best.
Perfect modulation of grey shades! Really impresssive landscape.
A slight crop off the lower margin could improve the impression of the vast wide country.
Congratulations and greetings!

Nature taking it's own sweet time to get there because it can and will eventually.

How many millions of years has this taken I ponder?

The 'call and response' between the sinuous canyon and the twisted pine make a magical picture of this sublime landscape. Superb! Bob
