Great composition Baz and I like the light in the top right corner. Personally, I avoid the concrete foreground here, but I know that action works against the most balanced composition.

Very nice range of subtle blue tones.

An excellent shot Baz, nice composition and good tones and reflections. Much better than anything I came away with when I was there last month.

Like the colour of the water very much, especially against the jetty

Thank-you all for your clicks & comments.

Maybe you didn't think your conditions were excellent but your shot certainly is. Glad you've resisted boosting the saturation (or done so sympathetically if you have), it serves the image perfectly. Great stuff.

Thanks Mark- the RAW 'faithful' setting I use on the Canon 40D does need processing and always requires contrast, saturation, sharpening. I like it as it gives me full control & I'm pleased you like the saturation level here. I did try to capture the realistic 'as-it-really-was' look.

I know exactly what you mean Baz - I shoot RAW on my 350D and the colour shift from the jpeg previews in Bridge to the file that opens in CameraRAW is sometimes startling - I spend half my time trying to recreate the shot I thought I'd captured in the first place!

Cheers, Mark
