Castlerigg Dawn

This is my attempt to put out a personal interpretation of a popular location.

I didn't take many frames on this particular morning as I set up in what I thought was an original composition & waited for the right light.

I was pleased with the shadows because I think they give the shot a useful foreground as well as linking the stones to the sun- a possible connection to their location in the first place.

I don't know this location Smile
I like the way it's slightly backlit and strong atmospheric perspective,
well exposed, compositionally it's quite "mathematical" Wink

Beautiful image and you have certainly stamped your own interpretation on this great place for taking photos - I have been there on a few occasions and only had some light for a minute or two at most
