Volcanic Beds in Winter

By bbruno
The Oregon Volcanic Beds are an amazing sight at any time of the year, but especially when coated with snow. On this particular morning, a fog was beginning to lift over the snowy scene.

Nice, very different subject. Could definitely reduce the frame - the upside is that your pic looks bigger to us too! Grin

Looks like an interesting image with lots of detail but the framing overpowers it and must make up about 35% of the image size which is a lot when the image is only 500pixels overall. I much prefer the style you used on your frozen rose picture.

I like your images so far but overwhelmingly the advice people are giving you is that your framing is overpowers them. I too would like to see a more simple presentation (and I say that as someone who likes framing). Having said that: if you like frames like this, then that's what matters!

A very stark scene which is beautifully suited to b & w. I like your framing as it approximates what we may see if it was hanging on a wall. My only complaint is that when viewed on here, it reduces the size of the main part of the picture.
