The Reach

My partner Becca out bouldering on Dartmoor yesterday. As the day went on the sun came out, which made for a pleasant afternoon.

I decided to go for selective colouring on this one, as the boulders in the background are too similar and for me caused a distraction. Where I wanted to focus on the movement, the climbers shadow and commitment. She fell off just after I took this shot.

good shot, composition is good and the selective colouring works well

Am not a great fan of selective colouring, but it really works well on this super shot.

Good to see some climbing shots here.
I agree with the colouring, rock can merge and dominate, but maybe leaving a small amount of colour in them, may make the image appear less manipulated.

Nice shot all round though.
