Self Portrait

By bengsays
Another self portrait from the same day as my last shot. Only window light. This time I did not use a reflector, and I closed the blinds a bit. A bit darker and more mysterious. Hope it is effective.

It is a dramatic shot. I really like the way used the shadows

Nicely lit shot and you have managed to retain detail in the shadows.

A good attempt Ben, the shaddows cast by the blinds work well. You could try burning the shaddow areas a little especially to the left of the ear bottom left for added effect.

Also cropping just above the eyebrow for an effective tighter crop.

It is very effective, Ben. This has a very "film noir" quality to it. Check out "Double Indemnity" to see what I mean. -=Walter

Very effective Ben, you are set in the mood of aloofness almost as if an Enigma has shrouded you.
Composition is wonderful, overall image is distinctly different. Jenn
