I don't know your camera, but various things will give you a faster shutter to counteract that breeze. ISO... If you can change that, 400 in good light shouldn't get you too much noise, or, a smaller f number... f5.6 might help. Or give the camera 'aperture priority'. (AV on my camera)I'm still learning, so someone else might like to confirm I've got it right!

You have an eye for composition, so keep persevering. You are right, always take more shots and choose the best, deleting the others. Don't know anything about your camera, but with mine I would need to get the ladybirds right inside the central focusing square, using double macro. There is also a facility for focusing only on one area. See what your manual says. Sometimes I use single macro instead of double, if it won't focus, then crop down the picture later. Only a lightweight, but the people on this site are very helpful.
