My venus fly trap is somewhat poorly at the moment. Don't think it likes the builders for sticking it on a dark shelf while I'm not around.

Is that the same fly you were trying to feed it the other day?!!
Good shot, its unusual, which makes it interesting!

that's a wonderful 'capture' (sorry). It's a really interesting natural history image as well as having loads of 'bite' (sorry again).

Lovely colours, and you've managed to keep the details on the fly's wing. Good shot.

Yuk.. What a horrible way to go ! So that's what happend to your fly. Firstly he got clobbered and then he was slowly devoured ! A very interesting and well captured image.

A grand close-up Bernice. and the colours are spot on. My plant is catching flies. I find dried up bodies inside. Never seen it close on one though. How do I get rid of the dead flies? If I use a watercolour brush, the plant uses valuable energy expecting a meal! I wouldn't mind propogating these plants, but what do they feeed on in the winter? Anyway nuff of that. Cerrrrlick

This must have taken great timing. I keep a range of carnivorous plant myself from Sarracenia to venus fly traps and know how quickly insects meet their maker - well done - click!
