Next step could be fatal...

By Bernice010
I hit a fly buzzing around my window with a newspaper. I picked him up by his wing and carried him to my Venus Fly Trap.

Unfortunately I hadn't hit him hard enough and he suddenly came back to life as I was dropping him on a leaf!

He managed to walk across the plant a couple of times (even springing a couple of the traps) before recovering and flying away.... Damn!

great colour and detail only small critism is that the presentation lets it down.

YOu did get close--- this is a fine image--too bad the trap didn't move as fast as he did!

Another brilliant macro, the colours on this fly are beautiful. If I'm going to be picky, I think I agree with Term, I'm not sure I like the green frame! Still the actual photo is good.

At least it looks alive though! Wink I like this one a lot, it's funny.

The green frame doesn't really bother me, but it could be down to personal taste. Smile

Very well caught! (Both times!) Beautiful colours. Just a shame the plant missed out!

I don't think the frame is that 'off'... Looks as if you 'colour picked' it from the flys back so it should've worked... Maybe a darker colour selection would've been slightly better, but I don't think it detracts.
