Before that horror came along

By BEVZED
It was the face of this a few minutes later that I was focusing on from 2cm away when that winged beast appeared, shame I couldn't get this face-on, this will have to do for now. Looks a bit soft to me.
The leaves really were that vivid and bright - I actually went back next door to check and they do look that colour in the full sun!

I think this will do for bugs and critters from me, I cannot get on with them at all!

Superb detail, I can never get butterflies to stay still long enough. Not soft at all. The lucky shots are sometimes the best.

Wow thankyou all, I really didn't expect such an encouraging response! You honestly don't know how many HOURS I have spent next door poking around and stirring these up in the hopes that I can get something, (well we do have to look after his pooch - a good excuse to sit round there!).
Many thanks folks for your c&c's

The soft appearance is the nature of this beauty. I have thought the same of every capture I have made. This is a magnificent shot and the angle is in no way detrimental. Keep taking these, please!
