Percy - Vera - nce ...

... it only took 2 hours and 11 minutes for the little blighter to come out where I could catch itSmile
At last! I was concentrating so much on the left one the other one isn't really focused enough but I am still quite pleased with it.
(Large really is the way to go with this one Wink)

EDIT: have just added the left bird sitting on another twig a few minutes later to try and see if it was a juvenile, can't find a full on shot just yet.

The only info I can find at the moment:-
Dappled shade
exp. normal
metering centre weighted av.
exp time 1/640

What should I have been on for this type of shot to improve my chances of a repeat?

Worth waiting for - a classic shot - Quite amazing early too for a fledgling - so I recon could be feeding the mate perhaps?

Like the presentation too
Great capture in did. Fantastic scene.

Fantastic shot.
It IS a Male and Female.
Just like some Hedge Sparrows I watched the male flutters the wings while feeding the mate.
I like the blurred wings,it gives some movement and drama to the pic.
Improve your chances....were you using the sequential shooting mode..I would.
I love the brightness and clarity and the differing breast colours. All birds have variations to the colours and don't conform to the bird-book descriptions.

These are wonderful captures Bev. Definitely not a juvenile. During the courting, mating and breeding season the female asks to be fed and you really portrayed it beautifully here.
