Great picture. I get the feeling that is has been taken in ChurchFields car park in Appledore, North Devon. Could I have guessed correctly?

Great picture! This ship was built at Appledore Shipyard, here in North Devon. Right now the shipyard is due to close in March, and there's a fight to try and save it. This picture deserves to be made public NATIONWIDE and in GOVERNMENT CIRCLES so as they can see the quality of the work produced by the workers at APPLEDORE SHIPYARD. Perhaps then a new owner will be found to keep the shipyard open and the workforce in much needed JOBS - right now those Highly skilled and very hard workers desperately need a MIRICLE to save APPLEDORE SHIPYARD. This picture would be a great start to showing off the skills we have here in APPLEDORE, and the type and high quality of work produced.

I do believe this is Bideford, North Devon. in which case, this is the rear of The Royal Hotel on what is now The Tarka Trail, originally the railway line from Exeter to Barnstaple. Good pic.

A cracking image. Walls and frames spring to mind. Well deserving of an award.

Beautiful shot. If I were you I'd find a suitable frame and a wall on which to hang it.

  • Water Vole Suckling Youngster

Great shot! Seeing this reminds me of a tv program I used to watch when I was a child, called "Tales Of The River Bank", filmed using real animals and narrated by
the late Johnny Morris. A Water Vole played the character of Roderick Rat, who was of course, a water rat. There was also a Hampster named Hammy. If you're interested, some of the episodes are available to watch on YouTube.

Love your picture though. Very well done.

Aww, Bless. He/she's not droopy, just contemplative. Beautifully lit portrait. I'd so love to be friends with this little pup. A really superb model if ever there was.
