crewe hall chapel

By bigbed
Taken in one of the assignments for the photowalkthrough.com workshop, held in Crewe Hall, Cheshire, UK last week. This is of a series of faces of the prophets on the walls of the chapel within Crewe Hall. The workshop was fantastic. I learned loads & they were a great bunch of people.
The photo is quite noisy, since it was in fairly low light and a fairly long exposure.
Any comments or suggestions gratefully received.
Cheers,
Tim

Been in Crewe Hall a few times but never into the Chapel.

I'm finding the bright background overpowers the carvings.

thanks for your comment, Simon.
I think you're correct - I found the framing of this picture quite difficult. It was handheld by leaning the camera against the wall, whilst trying to get the faces in a line. I guess I could try to tone down the left-hand side, but I wasn't sure if it would end up too muddy-looking.
cheers,
Tim
