Very nice crisp image. Is it a kestrel though? Colour looks more like that of a Peregrine Falcon to me, though I'm no expert!

Could be. I know the kestrels I've seen are much more brown on the back. The body colour looks more like a Peregrine, though the face isn't quite right. Not sure I've seen a hobby close up, or at distance for that matter!

Yep, I think its a Peregrine too, but either way its a nice shot, the blood on its beak is a nice natural touch. Nice DOF too.

Well spotted guys. in my hurry to get it uploaded I had transposed the information from another image. It is a Peregrine Falcon.
