Sunset at Oakfrith

By biglog
I took this shot at the begining of May.Went one evening to see if Blubells were out ,which they were not.Realised sun was setting fast so grabbed a couple of shots quickly of sun setting. When i viewed them on my computer realised they were all abit dark n dreary ,so decided to try to make a silouette of one of them.So basically ,this is making the best of a bad situation picture.!Have darkened it,cropped it and saturated it.

Great work. It used to be said that most of the work of making a photo was in the darkroom.

A well produced image of it's type . I like a subject of some kind and this just relys on a lot of shapes but technically very proficient.

Well done as you have created an appealing and slightly abstract image here. Lovely colour and an ethereal feel. I like the crop and my only point would be to clone out the golden sliver of light on the far right edge of the frame. Taking this to silhouette will create a nice edge to the image and match the left side. This then creates a natural looking frame.

Nice work and would look good printed up and framed.
