You've achieved an excellent glow to these blooms, the gradations of colour are excellent. I'm sure many others on the site wouldn't agree with me but I would have left a slightly larger margin around the blooms, they seem a tad too tightly cropped for me. However, I know many people _like_ to fill the frame with the subject, so it's nothing but me nit picking really Smile
Excellent first time out Smile

Welcome to EPZ Sean and thanks for sharing your pic.

You have captured the tulips very well indeed. The colours have come out beautifully. Composition-wise I am not sure about the third bloom at the back. It looks a bit awkward to me, sitting immediately behind the bloom on the right. Also the leaf on the right has a little nick in it which you may be able to clone out. This may seem nit-picking (and probably is) but what you are portraying is a sense of the perfection of the blooms and that bit of the leaf jars slightly.

I know how difficult flower photography is to get right. I have some lovely tulips in my garden which I have been waiting to shoot but they have been waving about in the wind for the past several days. Today no wind, but it is raining! I hope you will continue to share your pics with us.
