Elgol, Isle of Skye

By bill33
Another beautiful afternoon on the Isle of Skye, and this time Elgol. With the strong sunlight the blue sky and the white clouds, I had in mind a conversion for this image. Processed in Lightroom and then converted to Infra-red to highlight the clouds against the dark sky. I would be interested on your thoughts on this. My thanks once again to everyone for your kind comments on my previous work, it is very much appreciated, Bill.

You've captured the atmosphere of this wonderful wee harbour so well Bill. I've spent some lovely days here sometimes just watching the clouds dance across the Cuillin.

The clouds look great against the dark sky and the 'fluffiness' contrasts well with the mountains. The sweep around the bay into the bottom of the frame gives a good composition as well. Only litttle niggle is the white building/vehicle bottom right which is a bit bright. That small area is a bit messy and would be worth spending a bit of timing cloning out a lot of it. A very good image nevertheless, Bill, and converts to IR well.

has brought the clouds up brilliently the darkness of the hill and the white fluffy clouds give great amosphere...for me i would crop out the wee roof or jetty whatever it is and clone out the three lights and show it as a pano to add effect ah! thought

excellent
