Looking Down the Glen

By bill33
My thanks once again to everyone for your wonderful comments and votes on my last image,I got quite a shock when I saw the response, and also a special thanks for the GE award from Hazelmouse, this is what makes photography worthwhile, especially when other photographers appreciate your work. Another image from the same day, this time standing in the river Coupall, looking down the Glen towards Glencoe with the Buachaille Etive Mor to the left of the photograph. Taken mid morning, and with the light constantly changing here, you just have to set up your composition and wait, and hope that everything comes together. Your comments as always would be very much appreciated. Bill.

So many angles, so many amazing images Bill.
Your patience pays off with the light captured on this beautiful scene.
The sun, snow and ice combine to make a stunning picture.

As Kate says, there are so many lines and shapes in this image and the f/g triangle of shingle seems to echo the shape of the Buichaille so nicely.
Another beautifully crafted winter landscape, Bill.

I think this is my favourite of the series. The golden light is sublime and provides great modelling to the ground as well as picking out the snowy tops. I also prefer the minimalist comp in this one. Just brilliant Smile
