On Thin Ice

By bill33
My Thanks as always to everyone for your very kind comments and awards on my previous images, they are very much appreciated. Glencoe once again and Yesterday morning provided some wonderful light. As the Ice slowly melted the reflection of the Buachaille Etive Mor started to appear in the ice pool, and with the long exposure I had it in mind to convert this to mono. My thanks once again, Bill.

A very fine B and W image of this iconic mountain, Bill: the detail in the mount set against the smoothed clouds from the long shutter makes this one so different to the norm.

A magnificent mono image- the sky makes an interestingly stark contrast to the foreground and mountain.
