Standing Still

By PaulMillar
Hi all,

What a week man flue to the max and turned 40 on Friday. Have had such a special birthday weekend, Angela and my wee Ellie have made it great. Still feeling under the weather but got out on my birthday and spent the day on the beach in the cold but could not have had a better day with my family. Saturday for me ment a day out in my fav place, Glen Etive. Was -5 as I reached the Glen.

This is more the style of shot I want to work on, was heading to loch Etive but the carpark was full and did not hang around but went a few yards back along the road to this spot, but as I always say some things are ment to be........I am very pleased with end result.

Thanks again for all your lovely comments, and a big shout out to Kate for her UA on my last post...........v2 was done by my wee Ellie.

A lovely image from Glen Etive and I see the great glen fairies have been leaving strange markings in the sand!
Happy birthday - 40 - hopefully with many , many years ahead to capture wonderful images.

A lovely image.
I love the shape of the hills either side of the valley - they almost make a bowl for the clouds!

Beautifully captured Paul, your photographic skills have improved greatly over the last year and this image is just perfect. Wonderful composition with excellent positioning of all of the elements for a landscape image, and the inclusion of the sunlight just illuminating part of the hillside adds to the complete image. very well done my friend. Bill. Please accept my humble UA.

From the crisp golden foreground grasses the eye moves up to the well-placed lone tree, then explores the wonderful curve beneath the perfect cloud formation, very nice Paul.

Good use of your wide angle lens to achieve this fine landscape.
