Yaquina Head

By billma
A panoramic shot of the Yaquina Head lighthouse just north of Newport, Oregon. Four shots stitched together. I realize that it won't get much attention here but it is one of my favorite photographs that I have taken. It captures the essence of the Oregon coast for me.

I really love the new camera.

Color me impressed with the stitching. I love the ocean, and these waves are spectacular.

Something I'd like in my own portfolio are some decent lighthouse shot's, this is very nice.

Pooch.

Great picture with a wonderful mood to it. Has to be seen large. I especially like the waves and the gulls. Deserved a look-in from more members than it got.

It's weird what gets attention and what get votes on this site sometimes. It seems to depend on exactly when you upload and in what category. You can try to look at your photo in thumbnail and imagine whether it will grab someones attention, and chances are it probably wont, even if it is good. Your shot here is great esp since it is a stitch job- hate that side of photography myself (photoshop etc). |'ll use it when I have to but I don't like it. Too much like work (day job). Thanks for your interest in my work. Heres looking at you kid.
