Sunshine

By BillRookery
Saw these chaps this morning enjoying the sunshine, still under water here, our friend her home was hit by a 90mph gust, lost most of her roof and top gable

Bill

Chickens can’t taste sweetness in foods however they can detect salt, and most choose to avoid it.
The chicken is the closest living relative to the great Tyrannosaurus-Rex
Chickens have very sophisticated social behaviour with a dominance hierarchy where higher individuals dominate subordinate individuals. This is where the term pecking order comes from!
Chickens communicate with more than 24 vocalisations, each with a distinct meaning, including warning their friends about different types of predators or letting their mothers know whether they’re comfortable.
Chickens love to play and will run, jump and sunbathe when given the chance – yet billions of them spend their entire lives in cramped sheds with less floor space than an A4 piece of paper

Mine are free range, Bill, and have a very large area to roam around in, and they produce around 15 eggs per day. They choose to sunbathe in the lab's bed, which doesn't impress him at all! Excellent captures.

Great image and info. I get my eggs from our local newsagent who buys them straight from the farm, a lot of them are double yoked as well.
