The first image I made during my sojourn at Malpas.
I shot this about four feet from our cottage door, just after we'd finished our bbq and about two hours after we'd arrived.
Hadn't even had time to go for a wander or check any locations.
In fact it was the first time my camera had been used in about seven or eight months and I had cleverly forgotten what most of the buttons did and ended up shooting several frames to try and get the exposure right, and it wasn't until the next day that I remembered how to unlock my focus points....duh!
Just couldn't manage it in one shot, so this is a blend of two exposures to contain the very bright moon.
It's probably more of a grab shot than a deliberate piece as I was a little rushed to capture it before the contrast range went through the roof and the moon moved out of frame, but it gave me a very strong idea the following day after I had scouted the place for a decent location, which I will inflict upon you probably tomorrow.
There are some other crop possibilities but I decided that I quite like it the way it is....
As always, thanks for dropping by.
