On the Moor

By BillyGoatGruff
Since my last three uploads were all mono, attracting not quite the rapturous adulation I had hoped for Wink, I thought I'd revert to colour for a while.
This is Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, made famous by Daphne du Maurier among others, and by apparent sightings of "The Beast of Bodmin," which I've yet to meet.
It's quite a bleak, windswept, squally place; got totally drenched by this storm before any shots were possible.

Thanks for stopping by.

I really like the composition, Bill. It's hard to say whether the crop works or not without seeing the 'before' image, but I like the overall balance of the shot. I also like the way you have focussed on the textures of the rock considering the lighting conditions. My only crit is that the sky looks overly/artificially dark (done in PS? It's hard to tell at this size), but that's my personal taste.

Thanks for the comments, Bill - much appreciated. Smile

All the best,
